For me, community is everything, right? The reason I make music, I think why music’s so important and powerful for people is that it connects people in a really emotional way, really direct, emotional way, and it can bring a lot of joy and other positive emotions to a lot of people, in a way that nothing else does. And of course, you know, when we see a concert, it’s like everyone’s sharing this awesome, fun, collective experience.
and especially when you’re like singing along with your favourite song and everyone, you’re in a arena and 10,000 other people are doing the same. It’s just an incredible feeling of connection. so for me, songwriting, you know, the songwriting process, I, I, I prefer to also give me that opportunity to connect with other people and build more community. So right now, you’re in a part of, if you’re, you know, I’m not sure if you, whether you’ve been at the TSA for, you know, if you’re new to it or you’ve been here for a year or more, you know that it’s a great opportunity to build community, okay?
You’re part of an amazing community, of other like-minded people, people who want to write music and create music, and people who wanna improve their, process. and you’re a part of amazing mentor community, you know, starting with our founder, Martin Sutton, and myself, and all the other great mentors we have.
so that’s something that you have around you right now to access any day. So even if you’re not writing a song with, with me today, then you know, you do have the opportunities to, to, write with your other collaborators.
