Danny Roberts is the head of A&R at Made Records, a sub label of Universal Music UK/Germany. A year into this new role, Danny has spent the year searching far and wide in an effort to build a brand new roster. With a focus on development, Danny took this role as it enabled him to work with artists at an earlier point in their career.
“The buzz for me is finding raw talent and helping a band or artist realise their potential. It means I have the opportunity to work with people far more talented then myself. I try to find like-minded artists who want to work together as a team to achieve something magical. From a personal point of view, once success has occurred, there is something quite wonderful about knowing you were the first person to invest time and money in something when nobody else did. How rewarding is that?”
Having previously spent 8 years working as International A&R Manager at Decca Records, Danny signed and developed a diverse roster of artists including AURORA, Rhys Lewis, The Teskey Brothers, The Wandering Hearts and more. These artists combined, have amassed over 500 million streams on Spotify alone.
